Assessment standard and index of functional textiles

Functional textiles refer to the special functions that some conventional textile products do not have besides their basic physical properties. In recent years, a variety of functional textiles emerge in endlessly. This paper summarizes the evaluation criteria and evaluation indexes of eight functional textiles.

1 moisture absorption and quick drying performance

There are two national standards for assessing the performance indexes of moisture absorption and quick drying of textiles: GB / T 21655.1-2008 evaluation of moisture absorption and quick drying of textiles Part 1: single combination test method and GB / t21655.2-2019 evaluation of moisture absorption and quick drying of textiles Part 2: dynamic moisture transfer method. Enterprises can choose appropriate assessment standards according to the characteristics of their products. No matter single combination method or dynamic moisture transfer method is selected, it is required that textiles must pass all relevant moisture absorption and quick drying performance indexes before and after washing, so as to claim that textiles have moisture absorption and quick drying performance.

Water resistance:

GB / T 4745-2012 method for testing and evaluating the water resistance of textiles is a method for testing the water resistance of textiles. In the standard, the anti contamination level is divided into 0-5 levels. Level 5 indicates that the textile has excellent anti contamination performance, and level 0 indicates that it does not have anti contamination performance. The higher the level, the better the anti contamination effect of the fabric.

Hydrostatic performance:

The performance of hydrostatic pressure resistance is to simulate the waterproof performance of textiles in rainstorm environment. The testing method used in the national standard is GB / T 4744-2013 testing and evaluation of water resistance of textiles hydrostatic pressure method. According to the standard, textiles with hydrostatic pressure resistance of no less than 4 kPa indicate that they have hydrostatic pressure resistance, no less than 20 kPa indicate that they have good hydrostatic pressure resistance, and no less than 35 kPa indicate that they have excellent hydrostatic pressure resistance. According to GB / T 21295-2014 technical requirements for physical and chemical properties of clothing, the rainproof function shall be achieved, the hydrostatic pressure resistance shall not be less than 13kpa, and the rainstorm resistance shall not be less than 35kpa.

3 oil repellency

The utility model is more commonly used in oil proof and pollution proof functional clothing. Woven textiles can refer to the technical requirements in GB / T 21295-2014 technical requirements for physical and chemical properties of clothing, and test according to the method standard GB / T 19977-2005 oil repellency and hydrocarbon resistance test of textiles, reaching the oil repellency level of no less than 4. Other types of textiles may refer to or set their own requirements.

4. Easy decontamination performance

Woven textiles can refer to the technical requirements in GB / T 21295-2014 technical requirements for physical and chemical properties of clothing, and test according to the method standard FZ / T 01118-2012 testing and evaluation of antifouling performance of textiles, reaching the level of easy decontamination no less than 3-4 (this white and bleaching can be reduced by half).

5 anti static performance

Many winter clothes like to use anti-static textiles as fabrics, and there are many standard methods to assess the static performance. The product standards are GB 12014-2009 anti-static clothing, FZ / T 64011-2012 electrostatic flocking fabric, GB / T 22845-2009 anti-static gloves, GB / T 24249-2009 anti-static clean fabric, FZ / T 24013-2010 durable antistatic cashmere knitwear, etc. The methods and standards are GB / T 12703.1-2008 textiles electrostatic performance evaluation part 1: static voltage half-life, GB / T 12703.2-2009 textiles electrostatic performance evaluation part 2 charge area density, GB / T 12703.3-2009 textiles electrostatic performance evaluation part 3 charge amount, etc. Enterprises often use 12703.1 to assess the electrostatic half-life of textiles, so as to assess the grade of fabrics, which can be divided into Grade A, grade B and grade C.

6 UV protection

GB / T 18830-2009 evaluation of UV resistance of textiles is the only national standard for testing UV resistance of textiles. The standard specifies the test method of anti sunlight and UV performance of textiles, the expression, evaluation and identification of protection level. According to the standard, "when the UPF of the sample is more than 40, and the AV of T (UVA) is less than 5%, it can be called anti ultraviolet product."

7 heat preservation performance

FZ / T 73022-2012 knitted thermal underwear requires that the heat preservation rate should be over 30%, and the method standard quoted is GB / T 11048-1989 test method for thermal insulation performance of textiles. If it is thermal underwear, you can choose this standard test. In case of other textiles, since GB / T 11048-1989 has become invalid, the crore value and thermal resistance can be assessed in accordance with the new standard GB / T 11048-2018, and the thermal resistance, heat transfer coefficient, crore value and heat preservation rate can be assessed in accordance with the flat panel method of GB / T 35762-2017 test method for heat transfer performance of textiles.

8 iron free textiles

Shirts, dress skirts and other products are required to have iron free performance to facilitate the daily maintenance of consumers. GB / T 18863-2002 iron free textiles mainly examine the appearance smoothness, seam appearance and pleated appearance after washing.
